New program director. At the turn of the year, Per Knutsson, director of the Center for Oceans and Society at GU, takes over as program director for C2B2 after Torsten Linders.
PROGRAM NEWS. A shift is taking place within the research program Mistra C2B2. After two and a half years, Per Knutsson, director of the Center for Oceans and Society at the University of Gothenburg, takes over the assignment as program director.
– An exciting and important program that I look forward to working on, says Per Knutsson.
With its five different work packages, C2B2 is a comprehensive business.
– In total, around 40 people are involved from various academies and research organizations, says Per Knutsson who has a doctorate in human ecology and has extensive experience in collaborative projects related to the ocean.
He is also active as a senior lecturer at the Department of Global Studies.
At the turn of the year, he will take over from current program director Torsten Linders, who was part in creating C2B2 and who has led the program for the first years.
– It has been fantastic to work with so many brilliant people. But now it’s time to let someone else take the main responsibility for driving C2B2 further to the finish line, and hopefully also into four new years when the first period ends in 2027, says Torsten Linders. However, he will be available as a support for the program, and he will also be doing some efforts for C2B2 going forward.
